This website was developed as a result of feedback from numerous people saying how difficult it is to make plans to study Spanish in Medellin.  Unlike other big cities in South America the market to study Spanish in Colombia, and especially Medellin, is still in its infancy.  Schools come and go and people have varied opinions about the quality of teachers. Finding information online is difficult and when you do eventually find some information most of it is out-of-date and in amatuer format or contains contradictory information.  Old forum posts from poorbuthappy dominate google search results even though that website has been shut down for some time so its advice can hardly be relied upon.  It’s also not unusual to send emails and not get replies within a reasonable timeframe, if at all – hardly professional, but unfortunately that is Colombia.

This website is an attempt to provide as much up-to-date information as possible to allow readers to make informed decisions about how they want to study and where.  The site is intended to be impartial and we can only advise the pros and cons of the different options, it’s not our place to recomend one over the other.  However we enourage you to leave feedback to assist other users of this site.
